Therapy for Individuals, Couples & Family

What can I expect from my first online therapy experience?

Whether you’re a seasoned counseling veteran or are brand new to attending therapy, you’ve probably always imagined your sessions taking place in person. With the COVID-19 pandemic shifting our society toward more digital activities, however, you may be interested in learning about your online counseling options.

Here at Thrive Counseling Center, we offer online therapy appointments to meet your telehealth needs. Even if we can’t all safely meet together, we still want to provide you with the very best counseling in Federal Way.

Our virtual counseling appointments are very similar to in-person counseling visits—the only real difference is you can attend your sessions from the comfort of home without any commute time.

Secure Counseling Sessions

We rely on a secure, private video platform to host all of our counseling sessions. It will feel just like attending a meeting via Zoom or Skype, but with added privacy.

You can participate in online therapy as long as you have a “smart” device with a webcam and a microphone. This device can be your phone, your laptop or desktop, or a tablet from any brand.

Your counselor will send you an email invitation with a video link before every session so you can securely connect. Then, you will meet together just as you would when you were face-to-face within the same room.
