Experienced Therapist

Elizabeth effectively combines her 15+ years of experience as a therapist with extensive additional training in her work with couples, families, and children. As a solution-focused and goal-oriented therapist, she will help you with the challenges you are facing utilizing a here-and-now approach. Elizabeth will dive right into the places you are getting stuck to help you find more successful ways of engaging in your life and relationships. She has a knack for helping you learn how to utilize your strengths in the areas you are struggling the most.  

Elizabeth's experience encompasses work in areas such as conflictual family relationships including blended familiesdivorcesibling rivalry, as well as military deployment and lifestyle. With her experience and research in childhood behavioral disorders and family relationships, Elizabeth has a unique perspective working with children and families handling difficulties such as Attention Deficit (Hyperactivity) Disorder, Oppositional Defiance, Aggression, and Conduct Problems.

Couples Therapy

Elizabeth is one of our top couples specialists here at Thrive Counseling Center. Working in partnership with both of you, she will help you find the spark that may have been lost or buried. She will help you remember and rediscover the reasons why you committed to your relationship or marriage in the first place. 

If you feel like you keep getting stuck in the relationship rut of ongoing conflict, or that persistent argument that never seems to go away or resolve, Elizabeth is the therapist for you. She is also skilled in supporting couples who want to take the next steps towards healing an affair or a betrayal. 

Education and Training 

  • Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Seattle Pacific University
  • Bachelor's Degree in Science in Psychology, University of Washington
  • Certified Breakthrough Parenting Instructor- a program for supporting effective parenting strategies
  • Certified Facilitator of Prepare/Enrich- a program designed for premarital counseling as well as couples check-ups.
  • Certificate in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
